A meeting with the presence of Bahram Dabiri and Ali Morshedi On the occasion of the exhibition of Bahram Dabiri's carpets

The purpose of creating this collection is to emphasize functional art, a concept that has been evident in much of Bahram Dabiri's work throughout his years of activity. It speaks to Iranian art, where meaning has always been intertwined with functionality.

About ten years ago, Bahram Dabiri selected twelve paintings from among his designs to be woven into carpets. These twelve designs were infused with madder, indigo, and grape leaves. The carpets were woven in Kashan under the supervision of Ali Morshedi, a renowned designer and weaver from Kashan. The carpets were woven by Master Ali, a skilled weaver from Kashan, and the dyeing was done by the late Haj Ahmad Setari. The design work was carried out by Amir Karimpour, Behrouz, and Javad Amrozesh. All the dyes used in the carpets were made from natural materials and dyed using traditional and manual dyeing methods, which are still customary in Kashan.
